What causes MOLD:
     Poor air circulation is one critical key cause, moisture: (from leaks of walls, roofs, windows, condensation.) poor insulation, humidity too high, drains backing up getting carpet wet.

What can you do:
1.) Poor air circulation: run blower on furnace in ON position, newer furnaces cheaper to run any ways and healthier.

2.) Moisture: Have good drainage away from house, repair any bad roofing or windows, use double pane or storm windows to cut down on condensation in winter.

3.) Poor insulation: insulate around foundation to prevent condensation on walls.

4.) Humidity: run air to air exchanger with settings for less than 40%, or run a dehumidifier and set to 40%.

5.) Floor drain leaks: take care of right away and dry out everything that got wet, or get professional help if too big a job, the longer you wait the worse it gets.
